Catalyst
Name:Zeolite Adsorbent for Medical Oxygen Production
Physical methods of generating oxygen include the cryogenic method, pressure swing adsorption (PSA) method, and membrane osmometry. Among them, the cryogenic method has the disadvantages of high energy consumption, high equipment costs, and complex operating procedures, and is therefore not easily portable. Compared with membrane osmometry, the PSA method offers the notable advantages of producing high-purity oxygen gas and employing inexpensive, easily-obtained adsorbent materials. In this way, the PSA method is widely used in the field of air separation and has developed rapidly. In the PSA gas separation process, the adsorbent may have a direct effect on the final result of separation, and may even affect the complexity of process steps. As a consequence, developing a high-performance, high-stability adsorbent plays a key role in the PSA method. The PSA process involves mild conditions and medium and low pressures. It is convenient to use, and its conditions are easy to control. As a result, it is the most suitable method for small household air-separation oxygen generator. In this process, the preparation of the adsorbent is the key element, and the main technical indicator is the oxygen-nitrogen separation ratio.
Different types of lithium-based zeolite adsorbent products for oxygen production introduced by China Catalyst Holding Co., Ltd. (CCH) can be used in zeolites of a new generation of portable medical/household oxygen generators. They offer an exceptional adsorption capacity and N2/O2 separation coefficient. The adsorbent’s significantly improved dynamic diffusion performance and surface hydrophobicity imply that even less adsorbent needs to be used in each oxygen-generator column, and this provides even higher oxygen concentration with lower energy consumption.
